How to treat tinnitus

taken to be a field where  patients are treated  segmentally.   The practitioner focuses on a special part of the  body, where he suspects to be the cause for the disease, or where the pain sensation is located.  For example, a  patient suffering from a nerve disease will be treated by a medical specialist for nervous diseases, a  brain doctor.  A heart problem will be handled by a heart medical specialist, a cardiologist etc.  In this  sense, the patient will be fragmented into anatomic parts, which fit into the  speciality of the attending doctor.~Western medicine’s approach in analyzing and treating  diseases is based on a segmental picture of the human organism. Medical science keeps focussing on functional  units of the body, which will be considered as the place of origin of a disease,  leading to the concept that disease and illness are localized in that part of the body where the ail or symptom  occurs. For this reason, a “heart specialist” or cardiologist will treat heart diseases  independantly from potential other underlying causes beyond his field of speciality. }

treats diseases differently.  Here the entire body system is  taken into consideration, since a disease is not necessarily developed at the location where the patient’s problems  occur.  All components of our body are interconnected and influence each other.  The  outbreak of a disease is nothing but a warining sign that the entire system  is out of equilibrium.  Only treating that specific organ, where the  problems occur, is not completely successful, because this pattern can boil down to a  simple treatment of symptoms, not of causes.~Speaking about holistic medicine, things turn out  completely different. Since the whole body is a system where all units are interconnected with each  other, the location of symptions can not necessarily be viewed as their  place of origin. There is a persisting “flow of traffic” between different kinds of organs,  each one depending on the other. Symptoms of a disease, hence, are nothing but alarm signals coming from the body, telling us that our system is having  a state of “out of balance”.   Just concentrating on the symptoms of a patient might bring some kind of ears  ringing cure relief, but does not add much to the cure of the fundamental cause of the condition.}

large number of potential causes, singular and multifactorial, a segmental approach very  soon reaches its limitations.  This is also one reason why there are so numerous other treatments  proposed by the western school medicine, and only a limited number of are totally  working for a few patients.  A holistic approach promises to be more effective, since  right from the beginning the entire human body of the patient is  participating in the therapeutic program, not  restraining the treatment to the ears.  Also psychological elements should be taken into  consideration employing the holistic approach.  Stress, e.g., can be quite often a  possible reason for the development of tinnitus.  Taking a look at and into the ears of such a  patient will not reveal a lot of diagnostic and therapeutic evidence for the problem, since stress takes  place at a different part of the body and translates ultimately into tinnitus as an alert  sign.  In other words, holistic medicine will take the whole body (physiology) and also the psychology of the  patient into consideration, and paying thus tribute to the natural setup of our physical existence as human  beings.~Tinnitus has a list} of possible causes, which cannot be explained  solely by “ear problems”. This large {number} of possible causes is  reaon why there is a list} of possible treatments in western school  medicine, with most of them missing the point wholly. Going holistic, the main  effort of the physician will be to take other causes into consideration than only those popping  up in the ear region. Even psychologic components might play a domiant  contributive role, which is going far beyond the HEENT’s practial experience. Stress is  quite a factor which promotes the development of tinnitus, which cannot be  detected by examining the ears alone. The development of tinnitus serves more  often than not as an “alarm sign”, coming from the body, not from the ears. Thus, holistic medicine takes  a look at the total setup of potential conditions, taking into consideration that the human  body is a network of interacting units, which cannot be viewed as divided singular elements.}

alternative of tinnitus treatment has a lot of facets and potential  solutions.  The following list shows how flexible a holistic  treatment can be~There is a large number of potential grounds for the development of  tinnitus. Thus there is a variety of possible therapeutic alternatives to the problem, as  listed below}:

Acupuncture and Acupressure, Alexander Technique, Aromatherapy, Autosuggestion / Hypnosis, Ayurveda, Bach Flower Remedy,  Biofeedback, Deep Breathing, Chiropractic, Color Therapy, Diet, Vitamin and nutritional Supplements, Guided Imagery and  Visualization, Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy, Lifestyle, Massage, Meditation, Mind/Body Medicine, Nutrition, Reflexology, Relaxation,  Tissue Salts. Tinnitus treatment
recall that the western school medicine seems to be  virtually helpless when it comes to those so called  civilization diseases.  Hypertension,  {diabetes, arthritis~Arthritis, hypertension, diabetes mellitus|Diabetes mellitus,  arthritis, hypertension}, and many more diseases are viewed to be incurable,  and  western school medicine supplies nothing but pain sensation and disease  management.  The truth is that a good prophylaxis and holistic treatment increase the possibility of a successful remedy for  all these diseases, including tinnitus|In this regard, civilization diseases have always been a great  challenge to western school medicine. An array of civilisation diseases, like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, arthritis,  caries, and many more have been taken as incurable. The solution here is  the management of the disease, not the cure. There is no reason to believe that the management of tinnitus provides  more benefits to the patient than its remedy. The management is much easier to establish than a remedy of tinnitus treatment , which has to dig a little deeper than only juggeling symptoms}.
