Making Chocolate Moulds

If you are making chocolate from the bean you will find it is a very long process indeed. If you are doing this kind of thing with your family it will be hard so do not do it this way. This is because the equipment that you may need is expensive and you will find that it can take a good couple of days to make by which time the kids will most certainly be bored.

The best way to make your very own chocolates is to buy the bars from the stores and to melt them at around 100 degrees without actually burning the chocolate; this is actually very tough to do indeed. Once the chocolate has melted you need to make sure it crystallises a bit on the side. Mixing it all of the time is key to this. If the chocolate starts to harden make sure you pick up a hair dryer and use it on the chocolate. Although this sounds a bit silly I have found this method to work very well.

When moulding together a shape you can use different types of chocolates within the moulds. What you could do is actually paint the details in darker colours and then fill the rest in with milk chocolate. By doing this you will find that you can actually make things look very realistic looking if you are using some of the bigger moulds.

Chocolate is really good for making with your family just make sure you check out bakers books and confectionary recipe books as well as food books to ensure that you actually get all of it right.

One of the hardest things to do when it comes to chocolate making is not burning the chocolate and you do not want to do this so be very careful as you will have wasted your money.
