I, however, wanted to try my hand at making a batch of easy homemade chocolate truffles and get her opinion, since she’s the number one chocoholic that I know. 1. Hot Cocoa:

3 Tablespoonfuls Sugar
2 Tablespoonfuls Cocoa Powder
Dash of salt
1/4 Cup Hot Water
1 1/2 Cups Milk
mini-marshmallows (optional)

In a medium saucepan combine sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Add water and stir. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Continue to boil and stir constantly for 2 minutes. Add milk and heat until warm enough to serve. Do not bring to a boil again.

Remove from heat and beat with a wire whisk until frothy. Add mini-marshmallows if desired. Serve immediately.
